Formed in London in 1970, Queen consisted of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon. Their debut album, Queen, and follow up album, Queen II, charted in the UK but the release of Sheer Heart Attack and A Night at the Opera is what brought them international success.
By the early 1980s, Queen was one of the biggest stadium rock bands. "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" have become anthems at sporting events and "Another One Bites the Dust" is their best selling single. Queen remains one of the best selling music artists of all time and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
Queen and Adam Lambert began their collaboration after an appearance on American Idol when Lambert was a contestant. Queen + Adam Lambert have done previous tours in 2012, 2014 and 2016 and announced a large North American tour for the summer of 2017. This includes a stop in Omaha on Saturday, July 8 at the CenturyLink Center.
